Pursue of Georgian society towards Europe has encouraged interest to European culture and languages
Our mission is to promote teaching foreign languages. Knowledge of foreign languages will be a significant contributor to the success of the youth. It will help them stand out among their peers within and outside Georgia.
Our goal is to promote interest towards foreign languages, strengthen cooperation between Georgian and European educational institutions, to help students continue studies at the universities in Europe, implement joint projects with the foreign partners, students’ exchange.
Every year dozens of students pass through the exchange programs in the Foreign Language Center in Germany and Austria, where they are given the opportunity to improve the language in the natural environment.
The Center of Foreign Languages has got international accreditation (European Association centers and institutions (AKS). Language courses are designed according to the levels implemented by the European recommendation Council. The courses contain comprehensive material on the values, social, cultural and traditional peculiarities of the countries.
It offers using different modules that are designed to strengthen colloquial abilities and lead to the efficient results in English and German languages.
The Foreign language center contains general and specialized programs. We can help you locate language courses at the universities overseas and obtain international certificate in English or German languages.
Fee-paying intensive courses operate at the foreign language center where highly qualified staff teaches languages for general purposes (English, German, French and Russian), as well as languages for specific medical purposes and medical terminology. Groups of applicants are small.
Students, doctors and interested individuals can apply for these courses. Teaching is based on modern effective teaching methods and learning strategies; The classrooms and labs are equipped in full accordance with modern technology requirements. The classes are conducted, both under the guidance of the teachers and on independent basis. On completion of the courses certificates of appropriate competence(A-level, A1, A1, B1, B2, C1), according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, are awarded. In addition, courses also offer teaching of other foreign languages. Fee-free Turkish language courses are also available for students and teaching staff.
The staff of the Foreign languages center is continuously trained, participates in conferences in Georgia and abroad as well. Their work is constantly aimed at improving learning process, developing respective manuals, textbooks, dictionaries and methodic material for students. Textbooks in English (English for Medical Professions) and German (Deutsch fürMediziner) languages, successfully used in current teaching process, were elaborated and published by the Center staff.
