The center of Georgian language
In 2006 according to the decree of the Academic Council of Medical University the center of Georgian language was established. The primary title of this center was the training and scientific center of medical and pharmaceutical terminology. Academic doctor of philology Darejan Kukhianidze was appointed as a head of the center.
Later, after development of the new subject - “academic writing” it was titled as the center of Georgian language.
Currently has being taught at the center:
1. Academic writing, as a main subject, at the first year for all faculty students during one semester.
2. Georgian language for foreign (English-language and Russian-language) students.
3. Georgian language, as a state language, for national minorities - Armenian and Azerbaijan students - within the state program during a two semesters.
Professor Darejan Kukhianidze has been a head of the center till now.
