Only those citizens of Georgia  have a right to study on Bachelor’s and one-cycle educational programmes at Tbilisi State Medical University who completed Unified National Exams in following subjects: 

• Georgian Language and Literature;
• Foreign Language;
• Biology,
  
• The fourth optional subject can be selected from the following- , chemistry, physics or mathematics.

In 2020 -2021 academic year, Tbilisi State Medical University offers One-cycle Higher Educational Programs in English, Russian and Georgian languages for International Students. 

Registration is free, only on-site, by presenting the original passport and its Georgian translation.

In the frames of the contracts between TSMU and recruiting companies in India, Sri-Lanka, UAE), students can be selected locally by the TSMU recruiting companies after passing the qualifying test conducted by the recruited agencies locally. 

Language proficiency:

All international applicants are required to pass an English proficiency test at Tbilisi State Medical University.
Applicants are not required to provide an English proficiency test score if they meet one of the following criteria:

• Applicants with English Medium School/college/University certificates
• Valid IELTS (> 6.5 )or TOEFL (>90) Certificate

Requested Documentation For School-graduates:

• The completed application form ;
• 4 photos, 3X4;
• Copy of citizenship document: Passport or national identity card;
• Document identifying secondary general or equivalent education 
• Original document certifying that, the candidate has been receiving course of general education abroad, during last 2 years;
• Health certificate.

Before submitting the documentation to the Ministry of Education and Science they should be submitted to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement  for requesting validation of educational credentials (www.eqe.ge; e-mail: info@nea.ge) 

All documents should be translated into Georgian and properly notarized. Application with missing documents will not be accepted. 

The external mobility applicant should  be registered on free seats for mobility on the Electronic Portal of the LEPL - National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement www.eqe.ge  and only after getting the positive result  he/she is allowed to apply to the University

The external mobility applicant should overcome the competence limit defined for the enrollment in the Faculty they wish to continue education. 

Students intending to participate in internal mobility may have to submit an application addressed to the Rector and enclose the document confirming the  obtained  national examination scores (the document is available on the Address:  9, Mindeli Street).

Tuition fee for all Georgian for one-Cycle educational and bachelor  educational programmes of Tbilisi State Medical University -  2250 GEL per year - for Georgian citizens.

Faculty of Stomatology (Dentistry):

• English medium - tuition fee: 7.000 USD  per year; 
• Russian Medium - tuition fee: 4.000 USD  per year;
• Georgian Medium - tuition fee: 4.000 USD per year (for International students).

Faculty of Pharmacy:

• English Medium - tuition fee: 3.500 USD  per year;

• Public Health and Management - Joint Georgian - French undergraduate program (Georgian Medium and English Medium): tuition fee – 4.000 USD per year (for Georgian Citizens – 4000 GEL).
• Joint Georgian - French Master’s Program in “Public Health Management and Health Policy” - tuition fee 7000 USD per year. 

• English Medium - tuition fee: 3.000 US$ per year;

External mobility shall be announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia twice a year at the end of semester prior to starting the new semester. 

When moving from the Faculty of Medicine to the Faculty of Stomatology (Dentistry) or vice versa (from the Faculty of Stomatology  to the Faculty of Medicine), certain amount of credits shall be recognized, otherwise may be lost one year.

Yes, the external mobility students will keep their state study grant.

The credits awarded to the student will be recognized   in case of their similarity or compliance with the subjects of existed curricula at TSMU.
