Joint Project between TSMU and the Nurses Union

Tbilisi State Medical University and the Nurses Union are launching their first joint project within the framework of a two-year Memorandum of Cooperation.

The project involves the establishment of an innovative, three-level (Strategic, Tactical, Operational) Nursing Service structure at the TSMU University Clinic for Mental Health. The objective is to provide patient-centered, safe nursing care compliant with international standards in the field of Mental Health, specifically focusing on Psychiatry and Narcology. The structure is fully aligned with national regulations and international standards, ensuring high-quality nursing practice and patient safety.

The Nursing Service established at the University Clinic for Mental Health provides a system for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) including:

Three-month training cycles.

Clinical and professional supervision.

Specialized courses in Mental Health (Psychiatry and Narcology).

This approach creates tangible opportunities for nurses regarding professional growth, the development of leadership skills and the implementation of modern international practices.
