On September 20, 2025, Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the presentation of the Georgian-language textbook “Neurosurgery.”
The book was authored by Professors Mirza Khinikadze, Vladimer Tsikarishvili and Shota Ingorokva, along with a team of co-authors. Among the contributors is Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU. The 600-page publication has been approved by TSMU for use in both undergraduate and postgraduate educational programs and is intended for medical students, residents, and young physicians.
The textbook is expected to be particularly valuable for specialties such as neurosurgery, neurology, radiology, emergency medicine and anesthesiology–resuscitation. It provides comprehensive coverage of theoretical knowledge, practical approaches, and clinical guidance relevant to these disciplines.
During the presentation, speakers emphasized that this new textbook will significantly contribute to the professional development of future generations of medical practitioners, enrich Georgian medical literature, and enhance the quality of medical education in the country
