Professor Shlomi Constantini (Israel) at Tbilisi State Medical University

On April 23, 2021 Professor Shlomi Constantini the Head of the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Dana Children's Hospital, Tel Aviv Medical Center (Israel) visited Tbilisi State Medical University. The guest was met by the TSMU Rector, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Vice-Rectors, Associate Professors Sophia Bakhtadze and Irakli Kokhreidze, Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology, Assoc. Prof. Davit Tophuria, Head of the International Relations Department, Assistant Professor, Tinatin Kilasonia, Head of the Rector’s Office, Irina Kapetivadze, Head of the TSMU Pediatric Surgery Department, Professor Merab Buadze and Assoc. Prof. Avtandil Kutubidze. 

Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria introduced the guest the history and ongoing processes at TSMU. Prof. Shlomi Constantini talked about scientific and clinical activities in his department which is one of the leading pediatric neurosurgeries in Israel. The Professor noted that he would be pleased to collaborate and welcome TSMU academic staff and students at his department in Israel.

After the meeting the guest visited TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center. Professor Irma Manjavidze provided the guest with detailed information about innovative teaching methods and the OSCE examination system at the university. Later, the Professor visited TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic. 

Professor Shlomi Constantini is the author of nearly 300 scientific articles and member of scientific journals. Before leaving, the Professor once again ensured his desire to collaborate with TSMU.
