On February 21, 2020 Public Lecture “New Coronavirus” was held at Tbilisi State Medical University, organized by TSMU Ivane Tarkhnishvili Student Scientific Society and led by MD Paata Imnadze, Deputy Head of the Georgian National Disease Control Center and Head of the Lugar Center for Public Health Research. 

The lecture was attended by TSMU students, lecturers and doctors. The event was opened and the audience was greeted by Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, TSMU Rector, Assoc. Prof.  Sophio Bakhtadze, TSMU Vice Rector and 12th semester, medicine faculty student, Levan Tsaguria, President of the TSMU Ivane Tarkhnishvili Student Scientific Society. MD. Paata Imnadze spoke about the virus in details, gave recommendations to the audience and highlighted special roles of medical staff as the risk-groups. The lecture was summarized by debates. The question and answer mode made the Public Lecture more interesting.
