Tbilisi State Medical University commemorated the 32nd anniversary of the fall of Sukhumi by honoring students who heroically died in the Abkhazia War. At the memorial in the university courtyard, students, staff, and families of the fallen gathered to lay wreaths, light candles, and pay tribute to the heroes—Vasil Kiladze, Ilia Meladze, Giorgi Mirotadze, Revaz Mumladze and Nikoloz Gibradze.

In his speech, TSMU Rector Professor Irakli Natroshvili emphasized that the students’ sacrifices for Georgia’s independence will never be forgotten and reaffirmed the university’s tradition of annual remembrance. The event also featured remarks by Abkhazia War veteran and author Zurab Leshkashvili. Families of the fallen expressed their gratitude to TSMU for keeping the memory of their children alive.
