ANSER is an international research platform fostering interaction and knowledge sharing between academics and policy makers. The Network helps building evidence based policies that supports sexual and reproductive rights for everyone, everywhere. ANSER units universities and research institutions, including Johns Hopkins University (USA), Karolinska Institute (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich (Germany), Coventry and Sussex Universities (UK), etc. The initiator of establishing the network was Ghent University (Belgium). The types of membership - associate and full. 

TSMU filled application of membership at the beginning of November. On November 27, General Assembly of the Network was attended by Prof. Zaza Bokhua, Deputy Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia, Ms. Tamar Khomasuridze, Representative of United Nations Population Fund - UNFPA Regional Office and Ms. Lela Bakradze and Ms. Giorgi Mataradze, Representatives of the Population Fund Georgia. Prof. Khatuna Todadze, TSMU Vice Rector presented the application of TSMU and stated the feasibility of joining the university in the network. TSMU was accepted by ANSER as a full member of the network.

ANSER membership offers the following advantages to TSMU students, residents and young professionals:

• TSMU students are welcome at the Ghent University Summer School on educational program ‘Reproductive Health & Rights’;

• Doctoral students are welcome to be involved in various researches and scientific projects at the Ghent University and other member universities;

• Master and young specialists are welcome to participate in internships.
