On March 28, 2018, the first Job Fair was held at Tbilisi State Medical University. Nearly 200 vacancies were represented to students by leading hospitals, private clinics, pharmaceutical and insurance companies operating in Georgia.

The goal of the forum is to support the students’ employment opportunities. As the TSMU Chancellor Zurab Orjonikidze noted, the initiative was useful for students, as well as for graduates and employers:

"Job Fair is an important initiative and a mutually beneficial process. On the one hand career development process is extremely important for students and graduates and on the other hand companies are interested in employment process of successful students. It is essential that our students are competitive on the labour market”.

Giga Sordia - Head of Students and Graduates Department declared: "Involvement of students, residents and graduates was higher than it was expected. Therefore, we plan to give the Job Fair a permanent character. Promotion of employment is a priority for our university, thus we are committed to strengthen relations between potential employers and our students, residents or graduates”.
