Visit of Tbilisi State Medical University delegation to the University of Keele

On February 6-11, 2023 within the framework of ERASMUS+ exchange programme – KA107 Tbilisi State Medical University delegation visited the University of Keele (United Kingdom). Prof. Khatuna Todadze Vice Rector of TSMU, Prof. Lela Maskhulia Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Assoc. Prof. Eka Ekaladze Director of US MD program, Assoc. Prof. Lia Dzidziguri General Director of G. Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic, Irina Kapetivadze Head of Rector’s Office, Assistant Prof. Tinatin Kilasonia Head of International Relations Department, Nino Kandelaki ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator, Salome Voronovi Deputy Head of Faculty Development and Strategic Planning Department, Assoc. Prof. Ia Avaliani Department of Propaedeutic of Internal Diseases and Assoc. Prof. Sopio Gokadze Department of Pharmaceutical Botany were the members of the TSMU delegation.

President participated in the official meetings with the Georgian delegation. 

The delegation of Tbilisi State Medical University had the opportunity to visit and get acquaintance with the work of the university clinics: Emergency Unit, Department of Oncology Critical Care Center, Acute Stroke and Frail Elderly Assessment Units. The members of the delegation visited Center of Simulation in Clinical Education and attended PBL (Problem-Based Learning) sessions of the 2nd course students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Keele University. Within the framework of the visit Prof. Khatuna Todadze, Assoc. Prof. Eka Ekaladze, Prof. Lela Maskhulia and Nino Kandelaki ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator presented a report and presentation for the academic and administrative staff of the University of Keele. The representatives from the Tbilisi State Medical University discussed further collaboration opportunities with the University of Keele and planned Keele University’s professors visit at TSMU in May.
