TSMU 8th and 9th semester Medicine Faculty students, under the supervision of Prof. Manana Kutelia were on the internship at the Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria) in Radiology and Neurology Departments.

The students gained practical experience in radiographic, ultrasonography, magnetic resonance tomography (MRI), neuroradiology and urology studies.  Several TSMU students attended neurosurgery operation by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Eisner. Prof. Dr. Werner Jaschke, Head of Radiology Department, Prof. Elke Gitsevski, Head of Neurology Department, Prof. Thomas Rettenbache, Head of Ultrasound and Dr. Katja Petrova-Schumann were the coordinators of the Georgian students.

TSMU students are especially grateful to the Honorary Doctor of TSMU, Dr. Med. Irma Kvitsaridze, Senior Doctor at Radiation Therapy and Radiooncology Center, Medical University of Innsbruck, (Austria) and Tbilisi State Medical University for giving opportunity to obtain high quality medical education and professional experience.
