Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the International Festival of Tbilisi Amateur Student’s Theaters “Mask 2024”. The festival opened on April 7.

The festival will span eight days, promising audiences unforgettable emotions and a true celebration of creativity. Student theatre groups from various universities will present performances of diverse genres and themes, including:

• Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA) – Based on Roberto Zucco

• Grigol Robakidze University – Spiritual Beings

• Caucasus University – Bakula’s Pigs

• Tbilisi State Medical University, Theatre “Hygia” – Khanuma

• Telavi State University – Ekvtime the Confessor

• Georgian National University (SEU) – The Poet and Bergerac

Within the framework of the festival, students will attend masterclasses led by Georgian actor Archil Sologhvashvili.

The festival’s grand closing ceremony will take place on April 14. During the ceremony, a jury will evaluate the theatrical performances and announce the winners in various categories. The most outstanding student theatre groups and amateur actors will be awarded special prizes.
