On November 21-23 Professor Irine Kvatchadze, Head of TSMU Quality Assurance  Department and Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of Medicine Faculty participated in the European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) „Supporting Societal Engagement of Higher Education” at the Technical University of Berlin. The main issue of the Forum was, societal demands on higher education, involvement of internal and external stakeholders and in collaboration with other higher education institutions develop and implement educational programs, responding to local and global labor market. Higher education institutions need to foster academic excellence in research, drive innovation and ensure high-quality teaching. The universities should transfer knowledge and skills to prepare graduates for their future careers and role of active citizen. 

The TSMU Professors were also involved in thematically relevant workshops and sessions. The next Forum will be held in Finland (2020).
