TSMU Vice-Rector Professor Khatuna Todadze at the Permanent Conference of Rectors

On July 7-8, 2021 Professor Khatuna Todadze, Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University  participated in the Permanent Conference of Rectors, organized at the Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Rectors and administrative staff from more than 30 accredited higher education institutions took part in the conference. 

TSMU Vice-Rector, Prof. Khatuna Todadze shared the position of TSMU how to overcome the difficulties concerning epidemic situation in Georgia through vaccination of university professors, residents, students and researchers. Despite, more than 40% of TSMU academic, administrative, supported staff and students are already vaccinated, the university calls on the rest students and staff of the medical university to use the opportunity and participate in the vaccination campaign this summer.  The governing bodies of TSMU are planning to discuss the issue about admitting only vaccinated people at classrooms, clinics or laboratories from the next academic year (in the absence of contraindications). 

Prof. Khatuna Todadze talked about the campaign #vaccinate for a safe environment, launched by the Tbilisi State Medical University Student Self-Government and representations of International Student Organizations in Georgia.

“Please join the campaign of Tbilisi State Medical University and call on your university staff and students to join the vaccination campaign in July and August 2021" said the TSMU Vice-Rector.
