Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the premiere of the drama “Ingirs Mele” (“Across the Enguri”) at its theatre hall. The film was produced by the Peace Ambassadors.

The narrative follows a young internally displaced woman as she reflects on a powerful question: what her life might have been like had she been born in Abkhazia. Through this personal lens, the film explores the human dimension of the War in Abkhazia (1992–1993), highlighting the experiences of individuals affected by the conflict.

While addressing themes of loss and displacement, the film goes beyond recounting tragedy. It aims to foster dialogue, empathy, and mutual understanding, while encouraging reflection on shared identities and the restoration of trust across divided communities.

The event brought together members of the TSMU academic and administrative community, students, representatives of Georgia’s legislative and executive branches, and officials from the Government of Abkhazia.
