MD Georgi Mikeladze (USA) held lectures at his alma-mater, Tbilisi State Medical University

On May 28, 2021 TSMU was visited by MD PhD Georgi Mikeladze, Chief, Department of Chronic Pain Management, Kaiser Permanente San Francisco, Fellow - American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The guest was met by TSMU Rector, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria, Vice Rectors, Associate Professors Sophia Bakhtadze and Irakli Kokhreidze and Head of the Rector’s Office, Irina Kapetivadze. The meeting was special for MD Georgi Mikeladze as he was visiting his alma-mater. Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria presented ongoing processes at TSMU, latest achievements of the university and discussed future plans. MD Georgi Mikeladze noted that TSMU is a special place for him. He remembered time when he was a TSMU student and worked at the university for a while. The guest also noted that it is a great honor for him to conduct lectures for TSMU students, residents and academic staff. At the end of the meeting, Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria thanked MD Georgi Mikeladze for visiting his alma mater. “I am happy to present you to our students, residents and teachers as a TSMU graduate and a doctor who has named not only our country but the university also!” – noted the TSMU Rector. 

On May 28, 31 and June 1, 2 MD Georgi Mikeladze held lectures for TSMU students, residents and academic staff in “chronic pain management” and “doctor–patient relationship” (Georgian language) and “basics of rehabilitation” and doctor–patient relationship” (English language). The lectures were very interesting for the attendees.
