On November 9, 2022, Professor Ulrich Martin Director of the Leibniz Research Laboratories for Biotechnology and Artificial Organs (LEBAO) of Hannover Medical University (Germany) and Assoc. Prof.  Marina Pochkhua Director of Center for Molecular Diagnostics and Biotechnology, Sokhumi State University visited Tbilisi State Medical University. The delegation was met by Professor Sophia Bakhtadze Vice Rector of TSMU, Irine Kapetivadze Head of the Rector’s Office, Tinatin Kilasonia Head of the International Relations Department and Nino Kandelaki ERASMUS+ Institutional Coordinator.

Professor Sophia Bakhtadze introduced the latest achievements of the university to the guests. The prospects of cooperation within the framework of the German DAAD Project “Partnership for Sustainable Development” (2023 – 2026) were also discussed. The goal of the project is to prepare TSMU residents and students for participation in the international doctoral programs.
