On November 12, 2024, Tbilisi State Medical University hosted a visit from representatives of two Japanese companies: Dr. Kenji Ichimura, Head of the Medical Assistance Department at VITAARS, and Yoshihiro Gyoda, Head of the International Development Department at Digital Knowledge.
The Japanese guests delivered a lecture "The Role of the Nursing Profession in Japan", which provided a detailed overview of nursing functions in health promotion and disease prevention. Particular emphasis was placed on infection control principles; whose strict adherence significantly contributes to public health improvement. The speakers shared their professional experiences in nursing and discussed modern perspectives on the development of the field.
The lecture was attended by Students of the Bachelor’s Programs in Nursing and Midwifery, Professor Lela Maskhulia, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Assistant Professor Medea Jgharkava, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Tsismari Kshutashvili, Coordinator of Digital Knowledge in Georgia
