On December 3, 2024, Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Professor Giulio Petronio, University of Molise (Italy). The visit aimed to establish collaboration with the Department of Microbiology of TSMU, facilitate the delivery of courses and the implementation of joint scientific research projects. 

Professor Giulio Petronio conducted a lecture for TSMU students, focusing on the latest advancements and contemporary challenges in modern microbiology, infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.

University of Molise is a new international partner of TSMU within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program, focusing on promotion of academic and scientific cooperation between universities on a global scale. The initiative also aims to foster the exchange of knowledge and expertise, paving the way for new opportunities in research collaboration, student exchange programs and joint projects.
