On January, 2020 TSMU was visited by Prof. Yosef Ihab Mohamed Tawfik and his spouse, Prof. Sundus Tawfik the University of Westminster, UK. The professors were accompanied by Prof. Rema Gvamichava, Head of TSMU Oncology Department. Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, TSMU Rector, Prof. Khatuna Todadze, TSMU Vice Rector, Prof. Rusudan Rukhadze, Head of the Department of Educational Programs Management and Registration Department of Students, Prof. Irina Kvatchadze, Head of Quality Assurance Department, Prof. Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of Medicine Faculty, Assoc. prof. David Topuria, Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and Tinatin Kilasonia, Head of the International Relations Department met the guests. Professors from the University of Westminster talked about the structure and future plans of their university and stated desire to sign a memoranda of mutual understanding. The memoranda will become a commencement for the co-operation opportunities for TSMU academic staff and students. Professor Yosef Ihab Mohamed Tawfik held a lecture: “Cancer and Nutrition” for the TSMU students, residents and academic staff.
