Training Courses within the Frames of Continuous Medical Education Program at TSMU

"Development Pediatrics - Healthy Future" is the second training course within the frames of Continuous Medical Education at Tbilisi State Medical University. The project was initiated by the Association of Neonatologists of Georgia and includes the most important aspects of pediatrics and neonatology. The program was officially accredited by the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia on December 6, 2018. The program schedule is defined for three years. Five groups of physicians  will be trained during each calendar year. Each of the group will undergo a six-day training course and will be awarded the credit scores. Pediatricians, neonatologists and family doctors will be trained according to the Continuous Medical Education Standards. The aim of the program is to teach doctors the most practical algorithm for managing the most common diseases, using pharmacological and other tools. Ia Davitaia, the President of the Association of Neonatologists of Georgia stated: "I think the program will make contribution to achieve two main objectives: enhancement of doctors’ knowledge  and the quality of medical services. We strongly believe, the mentioned activities are the most effective and comprehensive ways to increase the education and practical knowledge of the medical society in Georgia. “The trainers of the program are well-known professors of TSMU. On February 17, Ivane Chkhaidze and Maia Kherkheulidze, Professors of Tbilisi State Medical University will lead the training.
