On February 19, 2015 a delegation of the French Embassy and the French Institute of Georgia visited Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU). The Guests: Jean-Yves Lavoir, Director of French Institute in Georgia and the Ambassador’s advisor on Culture; Colas Cabriel, Head of linguistic, scientific and university cooperation at French Institute and Ana Lolua, Assistant of University and scientific cooperation at French Institute, were met and welcomed by Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria Rector of TSMU; Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector; Prof. Ia Avaliani, Head of International Affairs Department, Prof. Nino Vepkhvadze Head of Scientific work Coordination, Master and Doctoral Services and Prof. Levan Metreveli, Head of Georgian-French Master Program.
The representatives of French Embassy and the French Institute of Georgia were introduced with joint master programs developed with French Universities, implemented innovations, educational and scientific issues. The sides discussed bilateral plans to develop close cooperation, including training and research activities of TSMU master and doctoral students in France.
