17 students of Tbilisi State Medical University, led by Associate Professor Lali Khutsishvili of TSMU Department of Physics, Biophysics, Biomechanics and Information Technologies were on summer internship at Kharkov (Ukraine) Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education from July 28 to August 18, 2018.
The students passed theoretical and practical trainings in the following clinical bases of the medical academy: pathology, forensic medicine, emergency medicine, cardiology, surgery, surgery and proctology, obstetrics and gynecology. During the training course, the students regularly met with academic staff of the Academy. Professors highly esteemed the level and motivation of the students of Tbilisi State Medical University.
At the end of the training course, the students met with the Rector of the Kharkov Medical Academy and the representatives of the administration. Professor Aleksandr Khvisiuk, Rector of the University, highly appreciated the cooperation developed between TSMU and Kharkov Medical Academy and thanked the TSMU Rector, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria for his contribution to the development of international relations between Georgia and Ukraine in the field of medical education. At the end of the meeting Tbilisi State Medical University students were handed the certificates.
