On January 17, 2025, representatives of the Educational Fund of Tamaz Bekaia visited Tbilisi State Medical University. Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of TSMU met the guests. Tamaz Bekaia emphasized that the four-year partnership between the fund and the university is shifting on a new stage of collaboration. The educational fund will provide semester funding for the student with the highest academic performance in the bachelor’s program of the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
the Educational Fund of Tamaz Bekaia has been supporting students with outstanding academic performance in various TSMU faculties, including Public Health, Pharmacy, and Nursing and Midwifery bachelor’s programs.
The guests and the rector of TSMU met with students from the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, where Tamaz Bekaia personally introduced the new initiative:
"Tbilisi State Medical University is one of my favorite institutions. Our fund was established during the challenging pandemic period when the medical profession played a particularly critical role. This context shaped our decision to support the education of future medical professionals. Today, we are proud to announce the expansion of our partnership. The student with the highest academic performance in the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will receive the scholarship of the Educational Fund of Tamaz Bekaia," said Tamaz Bekaia.
Professor Irakli Natroshvili expressed his gratitude to the fund and stated: "Encouraging students during the learning process is of utmost importance. Scholarships like these provide additional motivation for students and contribute to the refinement of their academic and professional skills".
