The solemn graduation ceremony for the 256 graduates of the Medical Doctor Program of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology of TSMU was held on July 8. Professor Irakli Natroshvili, Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University congratulated graduates on completing their studies and wished them professional success:
“Today is one of the most important occasions in your lives, we celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2025. TSMU marks another milestone, and you now become part of the global medical community. It is also a bittersweet day, as we bid farewell to our students who have spent many years with us. One stage of your life ends today and a new one begins. You should be proud of your accomplishments. Congratulations and best wishes on your professional journey. Your alma mater is proud of you. Remember, TSMU is always here to support you.”
Associate Professor David Topuria, Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology also addressed the graduates:
“This is a day that will always hold special meaning for you. It marks a new beginning. I am confident we will hear of your many future successes. Congratulations on this milestone and best wishes for the road ahead.”
One of the most emotional moments of the ceremony was the symbolic donning of gowns by the top graduates of the faculties, a gesture that signified not only recognition of their academic excellence but also the values of professional integrity and responsibility.
To the end of the ceremony graduates pledged the Hippocratic Oath traditionally.
