Students of TSMU Master's program - Pharmaceutical Analysis visited the University of Liège

Students of Tbilisi State Medical University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Master's program - Pharmaceutical Analysis: Mariam Piranishvili and Nikoloz Varsemashvili, visited the University of Liège within the framework of Erasmus+ mobility. The students successfully completed a theoretical and practical course in pharmaceutical analysis and were engaged in a joint master’s research project. Their work focused on the chemistry and biological activity of secondary metabolites found in certain plant species of the genera Rubus and Allium that grow in Georgia.

The practical phase of the research project was conducted under joint academic supervision: from Georgia, the project was coordinated by Professor Lasha Mskhiladze, Department of Pharmacognosy at TSMU and from Belgium, by Professor Michel Frederich, Department of Pharmacognosy at the University of Liège.
