The
Department of Ophthalmology of Tbilisi State Medical University, together with
partner clinics, organized its 33rd round of free endocrinological and
ophthalmological examinations for war and defense force veterans and their
families in Kobuleti Municipality.
A
team of 10 medical professionals, led by Professor Nino Karanadze, Head of the
Department of Ophthalmology, provided consultations and diagnostic services to
132 beneficiaries. In addition, 309 pairs of eyeglasses and 33 glucometers were
distributed free of charge.
Since
2016, under a memorandum of cooperation with the Lions Eye Diabetic Clinic –
“Georgia,” the Department has held 33 charitable medical campaigns, benefiting
more than 4,000 individuals.
