The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has launched a new Web Page - Georgian as a Foreign Language (www.geofl.ge). The web page is especially designed for international students who want to study the Georgian language and will provide support for Tbilisi State medical University's foreign students in their learning of Georgian language.
Web site tutorials, designed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in the frames of program "Teaching Georgian as a Foreign Language”, are suitable for both, learners and teachers.
The program is aimed at providing modern training and methodological materials to the general public interested in the Georgian language teaching and learning. The program was launched two years ago. Several Textbooks have been already written and some of them are currently in process. As soon as each new tutorial is completed, it will be uploaded on the website, which will be permanently updated.
These tutorials are prepared in compliance with the pan-European linguistic competences according to the Council of Europe Language Policy Division, in order to comply with modern requirements to teaching foreign languages.
The website is free.
