By the initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, has been announced the competition dedicated to the Mother Language Day on April 14, in order to raise public awareness of the importance of official language, involve various groups of society in protection and promotion of Georgian language and increase the prestige of Georgian as an official language.
1. The Competition "Georgian Language and Internet" - Young people aged of 15 to 27 years may participate in the competition.

II place - 300 GEL
III place - 200 GEL
2. The Competition - "My First Text in Georgian Language" - for pupils studying at Public and Private Schools of Georgia as well as Bachelor's Degree Students, for who Georgian is not a native language. Essays should be sent to the e-mail address: kartuliessay@gmail.com with reference to the competition title

3. The Competition "Reportages/Stories on April 14, 1978" - school-children of high-grades and Bachelor’s degree students can participate in the competition.
The aim of the competition is strengthening the relationship between the generations and increasing citizen liability towards the official language.
The participants must gather and analyze oral stories about the demonstration on April 14, 1978. The materials should be sent on e-mail: kartuliessay@gmail.com with reference to the competition title,
