Graduation ceremony for International Programme graduates at TSMU

Tbilisi State Medical University held a graduation ceremony for the 2026 graduates of its international educational programmes, honoring students who successfully completed the English- and Russian-language Educational Program of Dental Medicine of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology, also the English-language Pharmacy and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation programmes. 

The ceremony took place in the Theatre Hall of TSMU's Third Academic Building and brought together graduates, academic and administrative staff, university leadership, families, and guests to celebrate this important academic milestone.

Professor Irakli Natroshvili, TSMU Rector, congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to pursue lifelong learning, professional excellence, and ethical responsibility throughout their careers. In his address, Professor Irakli Natroshvili emphasized that a university education extends far beyond obtaining a diploma, describing it as a strong foundation for future professional achievements and meaningful contributions to society. He encouraged graduates to remain committed to the values acquired at TSMU, continue developing their knowledge and skills, and approach future challenges with confidence and determination. The Rector also expressed sincere appreciation to the University's academic and administrative staff for their dedication to educating and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. He thanked the graduates' families and loved ones for their continuous encouragement and support throughout their educational journey.

The graduates were also addressed by Associate Professor David Topuria, Dean of the International Faculty of Medicine and Stomatology, who reflected on the students' academic achievements and the responsibilities that accompany becoming healthcare professionals. Associate Professor David Topuria noted that their years at TSMU had been marked by academic growth, perseverance, and personal development. He encouraged them to remember that wherever their careers take them, they will remain ambassadors of Tbilisi State Medical University, whose reputation will continue to be reflected in their professional accomplishments.

In 2026, a total of 62 students graduated from the international educational programmes. Among them were 28 graduates of the English-language Doctor of Dental Medicine programme, 16 graduates of the Russian-language Doctor of Dental Medicine programme, 11 graduates of the English-language Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation programme, and 7 graduates of the English-language Pharmacy programme.

A highlight of the ceremony was the graduates' professional oath, reaffirming their commitment to ethical practice, professional integrity, and responsibility in serving patients and society.

The event also featured speeches by high-achieving graduates, who reflected on their academic experience at TSMU and expressed gratitude for the knowledge, practical skills, and international learning environment that had prepared them for their future careers.
