Tbilisi State Medical University Faculty of Medicine students Giorgi Asanidze, Tamta Gulaghashvili, Elvin Musambalyev, Ivliane Surmava, Paata Gegetchkori, Sarkhan Gasanov, Tinatin Gabechava, Vazha Kardenakhishvili and Mariam Merabishvili underwent an internship at the Ondokuz Mayis University Clinic within the framework of exchange program.

The students were involved in various clinical activities at the Departments of Surgery, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Traumatology, Gastroenterology, Emergency Medicine. The students were given the opportunity to get acquaintance with diverse clinical cases, innovative research methods, discuss patients’ medical histories and attend surgeries. 

TSMU students were supervised by Professors Okan Gulel, Omer Gedikli, Murat Meric, Ali Ozdemir, Tural Bahadurlu and Ahmet Bektas. The students expressed their gratitude to Tbilisi State Medical University and Ondokuz Mayis University for the opportunity and experience. They were awarded with certificates. 

Professor Rusudan Rukhadze, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine received a letter of appreciation from Professor Cengiz Cokluk, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Ondokuz Mayis University. The Professor highlighted the motivation and qualification of the TSMU students: Ivliane Surmava and Paata Gegetchkori.
