On September 17, 2014, Prof. Francis Louise, Professor of the University of the Mediterranean Aix-Marseille II  delivered lecture for students and residents of the Faculty of Stomatology on “Application of piezosystem in oral therapy”.

The Students listened to detailed analysis of French professor on oral cavity extractions, implantation and small oral surgeries, they got the recommendations on how to behave when dealing with maxillofacial bone structure.

According to Prof. Marina Mamaladze, Head of Department of Odontology, the  lecture by Prof. Francis Louise was very interesting and there was a lot of news, "He demonstrated the device, which allows providing atraumatic manipulations. This device is totally new to us, but Professor mentioned the firm SATELIK. Recently, its hygiene, dental plaque and tartar removal tools have been introduced at the University.

In future, we are planning to purchase this apparatus with surgical ends. Thus, such lectures are very important to obtain information about innovations and implement them".

The second half of the lecture was devoted to discussion of clinical cases. According to him «showing muscle force is not necessary for tooth extraction". The more minimally invasive procedures the effective plastic will be and healing process will facilitate getting desired clinical outcome.”

According to Prof. Samson Mgebrishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Stomatology University is ready to create appropriate  conditions for the students and residents to provide them with high level of education. Lectures by the foreign professors are of great importance serving for formation of high quality professionals.
