Professors of the Haifa University Clinic (Israel) at TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic

From 16 to 19 October,  2017, Professors of the Haifa University Clinic (Israel):  Ran Steinberg - Head of the Children Surgical Department; Arkadi Vatchian – Surgeon; Josef Haim Ben Ari - Head of Intensive Care Department and Amit Lehavi – Anesthesiologist  are visiting TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic.  

Professor Lia Dzidziguri, Director General of TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic noted, that the visits of professors of the Haifa University (Israel) have become a tradition for the university clinic: "I would like to express my gratitude for their charitable and educational activities. For more than a decade they have been carrying out heavy and significant operations for the patients, deliver lectures for TSMU students and  residents; the  lectures are also very interesting for doctors. Every visit is very fruitful and significant  for the patients as well as TSMU students and academic personnel. Thanks again to them on behalf of our clinic and Tbilisi State Medical University". Professors are providing consultations and surgeries at the TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic. 11 difficult surgeries are planned in the following directions: Hirschsprung disease, congenitalrectal atresia, tumoral formations in the abdominal cavity, choledochal cyst and others. Professor Josef Haim Ben Ari delivered lectures for students and residents of Tbilisi State Medical University: "Sepsis", "Shock", "Mechanical Ventilation" and Professor Amit Lehavi will deliver the lecture  -"Pain Management in Pre - Operative Patients".  According to Tinatin Kutubidze, Associate Professor, Head of Quality Assurance Service of TSMU Givi Zhvania Pediatric Academic Clinic: "Foreign professors who visit the clinic have a great experience. They share their experiences. Every day they are providing consultations for the patients of the clinic. They, together with the Georgian surgeons, are conducting the most difficult laparoscopic surgeries”. At the same time, professors have offered very interesting lectures. The theme of lectures is very actual throughout the world and in Georgia as well. Each lecture is designed with such formats to be interesting for doctors and students".
