TSMU Assistant Professors participated in the ACC Annual Congress

The American College of Cardiology (ACC), which brings together more than 60,000 members, marked its 75th anniversary with its annual congress (ACC.25), held in Chicago on March 29-31. 

Assistant Professors Tea Gegenava, Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 and Maka Gegenava, Department of Internal Medicine No. 2 of Tbilisi State Medical University participated in the congress.

Dr. Tea Gegenava delivered an oral presentation: "Prognostic Predictors in Patients with Noncompaction of the Left Ventricle," while Dr. Maka Gegenava presented - "The Impact of Mavacamten on Doppler Echocardiography-Derived Pulmonary Arterial Pressure in Patients with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy." Both scientific projects were conducted at the University of California, San Francisco.

The ACC.25 Congress introduced attendees to numerous innovations, including several new clinical guidelines and updated treatment approaches. The event also featured practical workshops, which were especially valuable for gaining experience with modern diagnostic techniques.
