On January 17-18, 2018 Irina Kapetivadze, the Head of TSMU International Relations Office and Salome Voronova, the Deputy Head of TSMU Research and Strategic Development Department were invited at the conference “Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions – Translating Theory into Practice” organized by DAAD, Bonn (Germany). 

The conference covered following topics: internationalization as a catalyst for networking and development, the Bologna instruments as strategic elements for the internationalization of universities, staff mobility in higher education institutions, recognition of qualifications obtained abroad, learning agreement vs. transcript of records – options, preparation, details & understanding, the EMREX network: a solution for electronic transfer of student records between higher education institutions. The TSMU representatives participated in the workshop: “How to write ERASMUS+ proposals for funding”. Irina Kapetivadze and Salome Voronova met the Professor Gregoris Makrides, the President of the European Association of ERASMUS Coordinators (EAEC) and discussed the partnership possibilities between TSMU and the Universities of Cyprus. Within the framework of the visit the co-operation was planned with the following universities: Saarland University (Germany), Rene 2 (France), University of Paris 13 (France), Istanbul University (Turkey) and Kochi University (Turkey).
