“Tbilisi 2015” Organizing Committee at TSMU

On 16 February 2015, the Memorandum of understanding was signed between the organizing committee of European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Tbilisi 2015 and Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU).

According to Prof. Zurab Vadachkoria, Rector of TSMU, such event causes great interest by its scope and meaning. The representative of Tbilisi 2015 organizing committee introduced the audience to more and detailed information about this event.

Alexander Akhvlediani emphasized that the Tbilisi State University is always the first to respond to all important initiatives, for which he thanked the TSMU administration and students. He noted that the European Youth Olympic Festival program includes nine sports - judo, tennis, gymnastics, cycling, athletics, swimming, volleyball, handball and basketball.

3800 sportsmen from 49 European countries will gather in Tbilisi. Olympic Village and sports infrastructure will be improved and built according to the European standards that will allow us to host a high-level sports competitions in future.
