ESPGHAN Eastern European Summer School 2026 at TSMU

Tbilisi State Medical University hosted the four-day international educational event ESPGHAN Eastern European Summer School 2026, organized within the framework of the Eastern European Summer School of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN).

The event brought together Georgian and international pediatricians and pediatric gastroenterologists. Within the framework of the Summer School, internationally recognized experts from various countries delivered lectures in the fields of pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, nutrition and endoscopy. The scientific board of the event included Tbilisi State Medical University professors Tinatin Tkemaladze and Tinatin Kutubidze, as well as Assistant Professor Mariam Ghughunishvili, who also served as the local organizer of the event.

The Summer School program was designed to be multidisciplinary, practice-oriented, and responsive to contemporary clinical challenges. Throughout the four-day program, participants attended interactive lectures, engaged in clinical case discussions and participated in small-group educational sessions. and took part in mentoring meetings.

In addition to its educational importance, the event contributed to strengthening professional networks, fostering international collaboration and promoting the exchange of expertise, thereby creating an important foundation for the further development of pediatric gastroenterology in Georgia.
