Tbilisi State Medical University has been ranked by Times Higher Education Impact Rankings against United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
In 2019 TSMU was ranked against 2 SDGs. The goal of the ranking system is to evaluate and recognize the role of higher education institutions in promoting a sustainable future.
In the 2024 edition, 2,152 universities from 125 countries participated in the ranking. Tbilisi State Medical University has been ranked against 4 SDGs (SDG3 - Good Health and Wellbeing, SDG4 - Quality Education, SDG9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure and SDG17 – Partnerships for the Goals). The medical university presented the best results in SDG3 - Good Health and Wellbeing and has been ranked among the top 401-600 universities, verifying the active participation of the university in developing the third mission activities.
