On January 29, 2015, the Delegation of Technical University of Munich  (Germany) including  Prof. Dr.med. Peter Henningsen, Head of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy Dean of TUM School of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Markus Schwaiger Chair of Department of Nuclear Medical Clinic and Policlinic, and Prof. Dr. Christian Peschel   visited TSMU.

Within the frame of the visit, Professors delivered lectures for students, postgraduate students and academic personnel of TSMU on: "Chronic pain: burden of disease and treatment" (Prof. Dr.med. Peter Henningsen), „Molecular imaging in cardiology and oncology” (Prof. Dr. Markus Schwaiger) and "Personalized cancer therapy - scientific concepts and structural requirements" (Prof. Dr. Christian Peschel).

After the lectures German professors met with: Professor ZurabVadachkoria, Rector of TSMU; Prof. Rima Beriashvili, Vice-Rector; Professor Manana Kutelia, Director of TSMU Center of Foreign Languages; Professor Tinatin Chikovani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Irina Kapetivadze, Deputy Head of the International Affairs Department; Professor Avtandil Imedadze General Director of  N. Kipshidze Central University Clinic; Tina Nakaidze Head of the Office of the same Clinic and Nino Orakhelashvili National Center of Skin and Venereal Diseases. At the meeting, they discussed the plan of collaboration between the Tbilisi State Medical University and the Technical University of Munich in details.
