On May 11, Professor
Aliosha Bakuridze, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of
Tbilisi State Medical University and Professor Dali Berashvili Head of the
Department of Pharmaceutical Botany visited the public school named after
Tariel Putkaradze in Shubani village (Shuakhevi Municipality). The pupils of
the school are involved in the USAID project – Primary Education Program. The
project is supported by Professor Aliosha Bakuridze.
The TSMU guests were met
by the pupils and teachers of the school. The school graduate, Professor
Aliosha Bakuridze talked about the important role of school education for the
successful development of the country. Professor presented educational programs
of Tbilisi State Medical University, university clinics and student life at
TSMU. The pupils made presentations about folk medicine and wild plants in
Georgia. The pupils involved in the project were awarded with memorable gifts
from Tbilisi State Medical University.
