TSMU for the third time was awarded for promoting access to information

At the Hotel "Tbilisi Marriott", a presentation of the results of the Survey “Access to Public Information in Georgia” was organized by Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) and Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). At the event the main trends and challenges of access to public information in Georgia in 2012-2015 years were discussed.The event was attended by the members of Georgian Parliament, Ministries, Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia, representatives of state agencies, non-governmental sector and the media.

Among the state Universities accredited in Georgia, 100% indicator of access to information showed Tbilisi State Medical University. Professor Khatuna Todadze Vice-Rector of TSMU was handed the IDFI award “for promoting access to public information in 2015”. During the presentation it was specially emphasized that within the projects, implemented in 2012-2015, Tbilisi State Medical University was awarded (indicator-100%) for the third time and has become a leader among higher education institutions.
