On April 2, Tbilisi State Medical University joined the World Autism Awareness Campaign, aiming to enhance public knowledge about autism and strengthen support for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Several activities were organized at the university in observance of this day. Professor Sophio Bakhtadze, Vice-Rector of TSMU and Pediatric Neurologist held a public lecture - Autism and Its Medical Aspects. She presented the latest research findings on autism, including data projections for 2025 and emphasized the importance of early detection of autism spectrum disorders.
Within the framework of the World Autism Awareness Campaign, the university students distributed informational flyers to the public, providing detailed insights into autism spectrum disorders.
