Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania) and University of Pisa (Italia) representatives at the Tbilisi State Medical University

On July 19, 2022 Tbilisi State Medical University was visited by Assoc. Prof. Remigijus Kinderis, Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania) and Higher Education Quality Expert, Annamaria Pulina, Head of International Relations of the University of Pisa (Italia). The meeting was organized within the framework of the ERASMUS+ international credit mobility program in order to develop mutual partnership. Within the framework of the ERASMUS+ Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences and Tbilisi State Medical University won a two-year grant. The partnership and exchange activities are continued successfully. During the last five years students and academic staff of the TSMU Medicine Faculty participated in the exchange program at the University of Pisa. Participation in the exchange programs was also planned for the Faculty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation students. 

Assoc. Prof. Remigijus Kinderis and Annamaria Pulina visited TSMU Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Faculty, Clinical Center of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation and Adaptive and Assistive Technology Lab. The guests were met by Prof. Lela Maskhulia, Dean of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Faculty, Prof. Irakli Natroshvili, Director of Ken Walker University Clinic for Medical Rehabilitation and Head of Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, MD Valeri Akhalkatsi, Director of Clinical Center of Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation, Prof. Irma Manjavidze, Head of the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center and ERASMUS + coordinator, Nino Kandelaki. 

Assoc. Prof. Remigijus Kinderis and Annamaria Pulina attended OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) at the TSMU Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center. The guests talked about further cooperation opportunities between the universities within the framework of ERASMUS+ exchange programs. 

Currently, five TSMU students are at the University of Pisa and three students -  at the Klaipeda State University of Applied Sciences within the framework of ERASMUS + international credit mobility.
