On November 10, 2018, the Conference on the "Keratoconus - Diagnosis, Treatment and Correction", dedicated to World Keratoconus (KC) Day was held at Tbilisi State Medical University for ophthalmologists and residency students of Tbilisi State Medical University.

The conference was led by Professor Merab Dvali, MD, PhD.

International experts shared their knowledge and experience with the participants of the Conference:

• Professor Vincenzo Sarnicola (Italy);

• Professor Krisztina Nikula (Romania);

• Professor Andrey Zolotarev (Russia);

According to Professor Dvali, this disease develops at a young age and is widespread in the Transcaucasian countries, so the mentioned issue for Georgia is of great importance. According to her, Georgia already has 15 years-experience in diagnostics, screening and treatment of Keratoconus. Every participant of the conference were awarded the certificates.
