On April 24, 2021 online, Open Doors Day was held at Tbilisi State Medical University for the university applicants and interested people. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic the event was organized via online platform Zoom and lasted for nearly two hours. The applicants were informed about Georgian and foreign language programmes at the faculties of Medicine, Stomatology, Pharmacy, Public Health, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, US MD and Nursing Bachelor’s and professional programmes. TSMU rector and faculty deans talked about the academic process, faculty enrollment requirements, and other necessary procedures at the university. Detailed information about international relations, infrastructure projects and student life were also mentioned at the event.
During the online Open Doors day, the applicants were given opportunities to ask questions in the form of comments or e-mail questions within a month. The questions were answered by the representatives of the university and Ms. Maia Gabunia, representative from the National Assessment and Examinations Center.
At the end of the online meeting TSMU Rector, Professor Zurab Vadachkoria spoke about diverse opportunities TSMU offers to students in terms of education and healthy environment. “Despite the high exam threshold set by our university, still TSMU is one of the most demandable higher education institutions in Georgia” said the Rector of TSMU.
The TSMU Rector thanked the audience for their interest and wished success on their professional career.
