On March 17-19, 2023 the 10th International Winter School-Seminar “Global Health in the 21st Century” was organized in hybrid mode in Borjomi. The school-seminar was attended by Tbilisi State Medical University and Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi students, master’s programs students and professors.
During the event the parties had the opportunity to share their experiences and discuss issues related to healthcare. TSMU master’s programs students of Health Promotion, Health Education, Epidemiology and Pediatric Rehabilitation and Yerevan State Medical University master’s program students of Public Health presented reports about the management of Covid-19, screening programs, health education, key aspects of health promotion, prevention of nosocomial infections, healthy lifestyles, treatment and rehabilitation of scoliosis, monkeypox and other current issues.
Prof. Shalva Zarnadze Head of the Department of Nutrition, Aging Medicine, Environmental and Occupational Health, Prof. Irma Manjavidze Head of the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center, Prof. Levan Baramidze Head of the Department of Public Health, Management Policy and Economics, Assoc. Professors Irine Zarnadze and Devi Tabidze, Invited teacher Lia Gumbaridze, Assistant Professor Natalia Garuchava Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Mikheil Diakonidze Head of Clinical Relations Department, Natia Kvariani Chief Specialist of the Clinical Skills and Multidisciplinary Simulation Center and Professors of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi Marine Hovhannisyan and Seyran Kocharyan were involved in the school-seminar activities.
Within the framework of the school-seminar, a round table and teamwork activities were held to discuss the problematic healthcare related issues. The participants had the opportunity to observe the treatment and rehabilitation methods of the Borjomi Resort Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Health Center. All the participants were awarded with souvenirs and certificates.
