On March 28, 2023 Youth Forum - for Sustainable Development and European Integration was held at TSMU. The event was organized by Tbilisi State Medical University and the Georgian Green Movement / Friends of the Earth Georgia.
The aim of the forum is to increase the youth awareness and involvement in the process of fulfilling the tasks related to the UN sustainable development goals and European integration of Georgia. The forum was opened by Nino Chkhobadze, the Chairperson of the Georgian Green Movement / Friends of the Earth Georgia, Assoc. Prof. Marina Tsimakuridze Dean of the Faculty of Public Health of TSMU and Tamar Saganelidze, Head of the Students and Alumni Relations and Career Development Service of TSMU.
TSMU Public Health Faculty students: Mariam Sharikadze, Mari Shambeshov, Elene Tsartsidze, Giorgi Machavariani, Monika Farulava, Tatia Giorgobiani, Tekla Shekiladze, Giorgi Shelia, Tinatin Mamukashvili, Ioseb Pertaia, Tatia Papashvili, Nino Khmaladze, Giorgi Tsakadze, Nanuka Zarqua, Mariam Kobalava, Lali Begadze, Tinatin Kvatchadze, Nino Chkhetiani, Emzar Chachua presented reports on the following issues from the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-Being, Clean Water and Sanitation, Climate Action. The academic staff of the Faculty of Public Health also participated in the forum. The panel discussion of the forum was especially interactive.
Students from 12 higher education institutions of Georgia participated in the forum. The reports selected from the panel discussions will be presented at the plenary event on April 7. Within the framework of the event, abstracts will be published.
