The presentation of the monograph "Rare diseases in Georgia and beyond, an integrated approach" was organized at Tbilisi State Medical University.

The book authors are: Associate Professor Eka Kvaratskhelia, Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics of TSMU, Professor Tinatin Tkemaladze, Head of the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics and scientific editor of the book - Emeritus Elene Abzhianidze. The project was implemented and developed with the support of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia [SP-22-227].

The book on rare diseases was published for the first time in Georgia. The book covers all attitudes related to rare diseases in Georgia and worldwide. The book is intended for doctors, biomedical students, people with rare diseases and their families. 

The event was attended by TSMU administrative and academic staff, people with rare diseases and their families.
