Professor Sophia Bakhtadze, Vice-Rector of Tbilisi State Medical University and Head of the Department of Paediatric Neurology, participated in the 16th Congress of the European Paediatric Neurology Society (EPNS) in Munich, Germany.
Professor Sophia Bakhtadze held several working meetings with European colleagues. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening future scientific and educational collaboration, which is expected to significantly contribute to the advancement of paediatric neurology both in Georgia and across Europe.
The EPNS Executive Board met on the first day of the congress including a meeting of the Committee of National Delegates. The TSMU professor attended this meeting as the representative of Georgia. The primary focus of the session was the optimization of postgraduate education in paediatric neurology and its harmonization with European standards.
Within the framework of the Congress, Professor Sophia Bakhtadze co-chaired the plenary session on epilepsy alongside Professor Ingo Borggraefe, Head of the Department of Paediatric Neurology and Epilepsy Centre at Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital in Munich.
